  2. Well found Peter. My partner is reaching the stage with her arthritis at which a couple of ciders and a smoke help a lot. What sort of crappy laws criminalise this?

I am increasingly concerned we are being disciplined by the presence of our worst. We can’t buy and use a moderate pain killing drug because of the abuse by a few sad bastards. I have no sense of myself not needing ‘discipline’, but we are increasingly screwed by fear of drongos and the moral prejudices of people who really do think of England whilst ‘enjoying’ sex. I am at least free of this latter as a Scot!

  3. Just tried to post on the other blog post, it vanished. You trying to tell me something Peter?! hehe.

I was saying; do you know what troubles me? The fact that in 1920’s America, at no point was the consumption of alcohol prosecuted, it was the purchase that was clamped down on. Once you had it upon your person, the law could not interfere, a little thing called Human Rights came into play, one’s own body was there own jurisdiction. Doctors could prescribe medicinal alcohol too. There was, I believe, some cases where home brewing was permitted and overlooked if it was for personal use.

How things differ in our modern day “civilised” times. We now face prosecution for comparatively safe and safer substances and have no rights on this matter. An iron fist has ruled. Take cannabis out of the contested equation, this does not bode well for freedom. Start tampering with human rights and it’s a rocky road for us all.

Cheeky plug (if I may and can be forgiven) new post out for me today:
