Hi pete, whats your involvement in this? looks very professional. which is what we need. When I saw the prop 19 media I was very impressed with the people that were fronting the pro 19 camp in the mainstream media. Untill now we have lacked a media savvy approach. Hopefuly this is about to change. Have you spoken to or seen Ethan Nadelmann from norml? He can argue the cause with such eloquence that paxman et al wouldnt stand a chance.
I wait impatiently to see the whole film

Just a humble interviewee (with a little advice and mentoring behind the scenes).

Nicely shot, but the background music was a little intrusive and makes it hard to hear what the people are saying.

Music sucks & its too loud – Nice plants though.
Do you think commercial TV would screen (as an advert) it or would the government block it being screened?
Hopefully the completed article will be an updated “The Union” which I still think is one of the best Cannabis documentaries so far.
Out of interest – If the LCA became a political party, would they be able to screen party political broadcasts promoting Growing and consuming cannabis as this would be an encitement to commit a crime?

No one can legally promote or encourage a criminal act but we can promote a change in the law.

In view of the recent escapades by some of our MPs, it looks as though a change in the Law will not be far off.
To keep Joe Bloggs dumbed down, they will probably be insisting that Heroin be taken down from its class A status and given to children so that they can be brainwashed even more.
I dislike drugs, being on a number to control my epilepsy; and rather like most Cancer Drugs, I am more likely to die of renal failure or blood poisoning that the actual drug or the condition itself.

The union had pretty much the same music with weed plants in the back ground. Great documentary too, I just feel they should have gone over the small potential harms and not be too one sided.

Yes, it is reminiscent of The Union but that’s no bad thing.

Awesome, Awesome and AWESOME, is something is worth saying it is worth saying thrice.
Excellent stuff Peter, works on many many levels and the music is not overpowering in the slightest imho.
Going to link it for my pals at GP.
I was feeling pretty low to be honest, prohibition is a depressing state of affairs, and that knock at the door always remains a fear no matter how we may try to disguise or deny it, nobody wants it, nobody deserves it, and that advert? is truly uplifting that it can contribute greatly towards ending prohibition.
Good Man you Peter.

Problem is, this is what needs to be dealt with before you can.

David, I thought we’d made some progress. Lucky is absolutely right. This is exactly why fact and evidence based regulation is far safer than prohibition. You’re slipping back into a Daily Mail mindset.
In California, Proposition 19 last year actually proposed INCREASING penalties for supplying cannabis to minors even though it was headlined as “legalisation”.

Your link David actually proves the URGENCY to end prohibition, legislate and control in much the same way we do tobacco and alcohol.
The Law as it stands means any child can get their hands on any drug, because some of the people selling them have no scruples whatsoever, So lets return to the days when drugs were legally prescribed by doctors?
Thanks for the link, says it all really.

Sorry when I say ” So lets return to the days when drugs were legally prescribed by doctors” I mean cannabis which in my opinion is no more a drug than a tomato, it is something natural whereas drugs tend to be laboratory based with some kind of chemical process needed. Cannabis is simple, take a seed, sow it in mother earth, watch it grow and harvest the fruits, tis why it was put on this earth.

If you read the article it states clearly that they also treat loads of youngsters for alcohol and prescription drug abuse. Substance abuse is substance abuse regardless of the legality of the substance & the only way to reduce the damage is to educate in a way that sinks in and is meaningfull.
Education not prohibition is the way to win the war on drugs
