At the time that programme was made a request was made from the producer via LCA forum for people to take part in it and to talk about positive cannabis experiences. I was one who replied and spent several hours with the producer. She booked into a nearby hotel overnight and we invited her over for the evening and we talked openly about the subject. I agreed to be filmed next day and duly spent 4 hours being interviewed. They then shot off back to London where they filmed and interviewed several others including Pinky Starr and Alun Buffry as I recall. However not a single bit of our footage was used in the programme and I was later told by her that his was due to advice from the BBC legal team…. just goes to show how these things work.
Lee thanks for that, it would be interesting to know exactly what law one would be breaking by showing Cannabis in an objective light (which this film seems to be the closest I have seen from a mainstream TV channel in the UK by far, I remember when this was on. Great to see the plant’s evolution documented, for a start.
I think that this is a good documentary. I’d just like to make the point that, as Cannabis can sometimes cause negative effects in developing brains, and that as anything that gives pleasure or is used in excess, it can become, shall we say, a large part of some people’s lives. Therefore, it being illegal won’t defeat this at all.
Proper regulation and education for all is what I think would be required. The parents of Paul Floyd, the boy with Schizophrenia, may not have known all that they could have about the effects of Cannabis on the young brain, and more importantly, were quite obviously ignorant to how he had access to it. Regulation would help massively to, decrease the chances of people who are not suited to Cannabis, getting hold of it and therefore decrease the number of people negatively affected by it.
it seams to me that the biggest problem with cannabis is the illegality i found it intresting that there was TBC in cannabis which is an anti psychottic and that because it is iligal the and not grown in a way to control the balance of TBC and THC cannabis can have negative effects concerning permanant psychosis and other mental health problems if we had experts working to ensure the the balance was manitained then the risk would be reduced to an absolute minimum. the guy who said he was compleatly addicted is not much cause for concern in my opinion. if you tryed to take a mobile phone way from a teenager im am positive that the teenager would go to war with you over it claming that they need it how are they supposed to do this and how are the suposed to do that in other words that they are compleatly dependant on it.
in my opinion physiological addiction is a very hazy and subjective study and should not in anyway be used as evidence to keep cannabis iligal.
would love to hear from any1 who finds falt in what i have said or simply wants to comment betthevet@hotmail.co.uk

Sorry Peter, my network will not allow me to open the site. I assume that this is Big Brother State intervening again.
Are you able to transmit it in another format?
