Rebecca – I Told You So! – WRONG—WRONG!

with 9 comments

I had this all ready to go!

I think the result is very strange.  Rebecca should have won.

She is the one who will go on to achieve great success.

It’s wonderful to be able to say I told you so nearly ten weeks ago!

She is the one with the X Factor.

She deserves it.

  2. Am I the only person in the UK who has never heard of her, and hence couldn’t give a toss?

    • Nobbly, the faux superiority of those who look down on X Factor amuses me. It’s extreme hypocrisy. Taking the position that everything on X Factor is rubbish is self-evidently a ridiculous generalisation. Those who look down their nose at X Factor will eventually find they’re looking up their own backside.

Rebecca is an extraordinary talent, a sort of latter day Billie Holiday. She is in a different class to nearly all performers that appear on television. Simply extraordinary.

      • Peter,

I didn’t say that she wasn’t. I merely pointed out that I don’t watch the X-factor, and have no interest in who wins, loses or crashes out in flames.

I do, however, object to a TV talent competition being touted around desperate news organisations as hard news. Nicky Campbell was damn near wetting himself in excitement this morning on 5Live. It’s worse than the pope’s visit

  3. I could never decide between Matt and Rebecca throughout the series so I was happy for Matt, but I think Rebecca will have the better career.
