Nigel Farage, The Marr Show, 1st June 2014

This was Nigel Farage at his very best: the man of the people, relaxed but determined, fair minded but firm, tolerant but strong, patriotic but generous.  Really it couldn’t have gone any better.

All the vile abuse hurled at him by the small men and women of the media and the political establishment, the disgraceful BBC bias, the blatant hypocrisy of Tory and Labour that ferment conflict within our country every day.  Nigel dealt with them all with a smile and good grace.

He is stronger than ever.  The UKIP policies that he hinted at seem sensible and popular. Protest votes will be hardening into solid support.  Britain now despises the identikit Cameron, Miliband, Duncan Smith, Balls and the rest.  The chattering idiots at the Guardian and the BBC  and the Bullingdon Club associate members at the Telegraph and the Times.  They’re all as out of touch as each other.  The Fleet Street Mafia is as disgraced as the members of the cabinet and shadow cabinet.  We want none of you anymore!

  1. How misinformed you are….if you see further than your own ego you would know that ukip are exactly the same bunch of twats as all the others and are simply controlled opposition , funded by the elite bankers and quite frankly an embarresment to one and all. All politicians are fools, and you are a gullible one too, we are already fully prepared for insurrection and the target lists have been confirmed.

  2. We are most certainly on the same page here , I am working class Anx have never felt such an affinity with any politician, as I now feel for Mr Ferage. I carry a UKiP membership card and would never have joined any other political party. Well done Mr Ferage

  3. Mr Farage is a privately educated former successful trader, he is exactly the same as all the other politicians im afraid. private eye very rarely get it wrong for me and they seem to have it right with farage however mischievous they are.
I disagree with most things he says, but those that attack and ridicule him don’t get it that if you don’t engage in an adult manner to attempt to change others opinions their stance will only get stronger. childish abuse and arm waving only cause division, debate near impossible and make the situation worse.
I am an honorary Lithuanian as my beautiful partner is from there, without the freedom of movement that i believe in i would never have met her

    • I’m glad the EU has worked out fine for you . It’s been worth losing our independence and having the country being full of unwanted people just so you could find love.

      • can you give me a detailed analysis of how the UK has lost its independence, a repetition of rhetoric that is produced by UKIP the telegraph times etc. is not evidence. None of what UKIP say, or any political party, has any substance, meaning or analysis, it is simple basic words void of intellect that are emotive to create reactions and fear. if your opinion is based on what you have heard others say you don’t have an opinion you have someone else’s. This tactic has been used by the media and politicians since they were both created. Just because you think people are unwanted does not mean anyone else does, what you must mean to say is the country is full of people that i personally do not want here, or do you speak for the whole nation. I would also suggest it is not only myself that has found a partner but many many others. One question i can never find a good answer to that you may help me with is what is the Britain people miss, what is Britishness, what are these values that people talk about. Mention the magna carta and i will laugh for a while as if you read it it is very close to how the far right of the muslim nation think, you couldnt make it up

  4. To consider Farage as not out of touch would be a farce. He is populist, charismatic and clever, but he is not one of the people.

  5. The only person to get out of the communitarian dictatorship of the EU.

  6. Reply to Andrew Cox-I cannot give a detailed explanation of how Britain has lost its independence but that’s not really the point.Even the keenest Europhile must admit that most of our laws are made in Brussels now.
As for unwanted people-that speaks for itself. You have done well out of the situation but you cannot deny that the influx has bought many undesirables. As a police officer I know full well the percentage of crimes committed by foreigners, as well as the effect on the jobs market by the decent ones that have arrived.
Please feel free to answer this by writing “racist” “xenophobe” or “little Englander”,i’m fully expecting it.
If the politicians ever find the guts to hold a referendum on EU membership (which I doubt) then we will see if I am “speaking for the whole nation”.
