The Man Who Broke Britain – Nowhere To be Seen

with 9 comments

James “Broken Britain” Brokenshire has had various titles and job descriptions at the Home Office; crime reduction, crime prevention, anti-social behaviour, etc, etc.

I think we can all agree, by any standards, an abject failure.  Never in modern times has Britain seen such an upswing in crime and anti-social behaviour.

Will Brokenshire’s appalling job performance have any consequences for him?  Is he accountable in any way?

Of course not.   This is no surprise though.  Before he conned the voters of Bexley and Sidcup into voting for him he was a banker, so what do you expect?

Gang Culture And Drugs At The Root Of It?

with 4 comments

“They earn money from crime, particularly from drugs…”

So do something about it!  Pull the rug from underneath the gangs and organised crime.  Take away their lifeblood.

Tax and regulate cannabis.  Take a safer, more responsible approach.  Build a properly controlled supply chain.  Create jobs. Protect children.  Stop wasting police time and resources.  Reap the multi-billion pound and immeasurable social benefits of a sensible policy on cannabis.

What’s The Difference Between A Looter And A Banker?

with 6 comments

Who is the odd one out?

Bob Diamond, Eric Daniels, Fred Goodwin, Stuart Gulliver, Stephen Hester, a random looter

The random looter of course.  He’s just a petty thief.

The Warning That Cameron And The Feral Elite Ignored

with one comment

“The price of this financial crisis is being borne by people who absolutely did not cause it. Now is the period when the cost is being paid, I’m surprised that the degree of public anger has not been greater than it has.

Britain Needs Leadership

with 7 comments

I know the junction in Clapham by Debenhams like the back of my hand. I have queued for hours in the post office that the armoured police vehicles were rolling by last night. It was my home and it makes it feel very close, very real. Two, three mornings every week I used to go through that door at Debenhams and buy myself a pasty from their snack bar for breakfast. I couldn’t help but weep just a little as I watched events unfold.

The scumbags need to be rounded up, caged, sent to bootcamp for six months, then two years enforced community service, 40 hours per week, cleaning toilets, real hard work.

Our politicians are responsible. They have denied our youth a future and deserve disgrace, condemnation and loss of office.

On Mark Duggan, he had a gun so he should have expected to be shot.

We desperately, desperately need leadership.  Cameron falls so far short that it is embarrassing.

Britain Is Burning

The police are taking backhanders
Our MPs are fiddling their expenses
The media break the law without compunction
The bankers have looted our economy
Our politicians are sunning themselves in luxury
How do you expect young people to behave?

An Unaffordable Prejudice – A Report To The Home Affairs Committee Concerning The Cannabis Laws

with 13 comments

Probably the worst part of becoming leader of Cannabis Law Reform (CLEAR) has been learning how to deal with the abuse and vitriolic jealousy that has been directed at me.

In fact it started even before my election when I set up the British Medicinal Cannabis Register (BMCR).  Immediately, some individuals accused me of being an undercover cop, of trying to cheat medicinal users into incriminating themselves.  I was astonished at the divisiveness, backstabbing and bitterness within the cannabis community.  I was accused of making money out of it and exploitation – ridiculous ideas to anyone with an ounce of common sense

You will know the rest.  It got even worse.  A Peter Reynolds “hate site” was set up by a psychotic breakaway from UK420 which made a series of completely ludicrous and false allegations about me.  Everything I had ever said about myself was untrue, apparently.  I was said to be a fascist, a Jew hater, a racist, etc, etc, etc.

I published evidence of my previous work and the trolls and numpties faded away – but not completely.  Even in quite close proximity, some who you might expect to be supportive of the progress we have achieved recently, have grumbled and groaned and suggested that I have not been truthful about my record in the cannabis campaign.  Those who prefer to look backwards rather than forwards continue to quibble.

Last week my ex-wife cleared out her loft.  My sons salvaged a copy of the report I submitted to the Home Affairs committee nearly 30 years ago.  It was in 1983, not in 1978 as I had said previously –  which will probably bring yet  more accusations!

So here it is, printed on a daisy wheel printer, with finger marks and smudges intact.  It’s amazing really because this was written even before the discovery of the endocannabinoid system and that is the only real difference in the argument I presented then from what I would say today.
