ITV Cock-Up The World Cup. Immediately!
Unbelievable! I would never, ever, not in a million years choose to watch any sporting event (or anything else I can think of) on ITV.
Now I know why and I know I’m right!
Less than five minutes into the game, at a completely inappropriate moment, at the merest pause in play, it cuts to an ad. I can’t even remember who it was only four minutes later, so it was a waste of time and money anyway. Then the screen goes black for perhaps 20 seconds. Then we get the pictures back – England have scored!
What absolute, unforgiveable INCOMPETENCE!
Only the BBC should be allowed to screen such important events. ITV is useless .
Sack somebody now!
Advertisers! Pull the plug on the jokers before we boycott you!
Hundreds Of Miles Away…
…as the BBC describe us, here in Weymouth, the berk flew in, hijacked Asda, the very source of my daily bread and tried to turn it into Gordon Brown land. Never! We may have an inadequate sycophant in Jim Knight as our present MP and an aristocrat, landowner and James Bond villain, Richard Drax, as our future but we are proud Dorset men, we are, so we are, arrrrghr!
The One Show
I have followed the One Show loyally and faithfully from the very beginning to now, I’m afraid, the end.
Christine has lost her innocence and joined the celebrity merry-go-round. Adrian has been done down in an offensive way by the BBC management and is moving on to bigger and better things.
It was great while it lasted but now it is becoming a parody of itself.
It is over.
BBC Endangers Bulger Killer
Some may say that he deserves everything he gets but the BBC’s strenuous efforts to find identifiable photos of John Venables are to be deplored.
I say he deserves everything he gets within the law but this 27 year old man has now been recalled to prison and the BBC is going hell for leather to dig up every photo of him it can find. If he is identified by his cell mate or by others in jail with him I dread to think what the consequences will be. Whoever is behind this at the BBC is behaving quite improperly and they should be stopped. It seems to me that they too are risking jail for contempt of court.
Nothing can excuse what Venables and his partner in crime did and I am dubious about the justice of having released them from custody. What the BBC is doing though is just piling another wrong onto this sad history. This by an organisation that is usually ridiculously oversensitive to things. It seems that you can’t mention the brand name “Marmite” on the BBC but you can try to identify someone who the Court is trying to protect.
Politically Correct Fools
It is a crazy and entirely self-defeating idea to protest at the appearance of Nick Griffin on Question Time.
Similarly, to complain of the BNP’s use of World War II images and propaganda is just nonsense. Those who cling to the oily and sticky ideas of political correctness prove themselves to be fools again and again.
I’d rather have some straightforward anti-Nazi nutter chanting in my face than these slimy, unpleasant, dishonest, machiavellian meddlers. These creeps who stir up opposition even to the BNP’s existence, who are so utterly hypocritical in their wish to censor and repress the BNP. Are they so insecure in their own beliefs that they think the BNP can ever make any real progress?
I applaud the BBC for having the courage to show a pretty young protestor being dragged across a polished floor screaming “This is what they do to protect the Nazis. Shame on you BBC!”.
On the contrary, congratulations to the BBC. Your conduct throughout this affair has been noble and of the highest standard of fairness and equality.
I think Nick Griffin is a pretty dubious and unpleasant character. I would like to hear more from him about his policies and I’d like to see him quizzed by Andrew Marr or Jeremy Paxman. At present I don’t understand exactly what he really advocates. Like millions of British citizens, I do not consider myself a racist but I do believe in Britain for the British. I don’t understand why a Muslim Lawyers or a Black Police Officers organisation is OK but an organisation for white British is denounced and reviled.
This debate needs to be aired. We need to hear more from Mr Griffin so that we can make up our own minds. Those who seek to silence him are their own worst enemies.
Bring Cricket Back To The BBC
It is a disgrace that we have not been able to watch the glorious Ashes victory on TV. I blame Murdoch. I blame the BBC. I blame the government.
Even if I was prepared to pay to watch something that it is my right as a British citizen to see on free-to-air television, why would I want to be paying Sky for football? I cannot buy just the cricket or the rugby. I have to take the ignorant, overpaid ponces, Ruski-paid whores as well! I don’t want one second more of this moronic game for badly behaved children on my TV than I already have.
If this apology for a government that has heaped so much disgrace and ignominy on our country wanted to do one decent thing in its death throes then legislate to bring test match cricket back to the people.
Castration Is The Answer
How can a man rape a two year old girl?
I mean the question in both senses. How, physically, is it possible without vile and serious physical trauma? How is it possible for any human being with any degree of conscience or decency?
These questions are unanswerable. So is the crime. No punishment can be sufficient. A death sentence would be both too forgiving and morally indefensible. Surely life must mean life? Perhaps we should consider “hard labour” or some other definition of the way that this man must spend his time in prison?
But of course this is not a man. This is a sentient being that has behaved at a level beneath a dumb animal. I doubt that he is “mad” in any sense that we can define. He is simply bad. For the full story see here.
Louis Theroux’s recent documentary, “A Place For Paedophiles”, gave an extraordinary insight into Coalinga mental hospital in California where more than 500 paedophiles who have served their sentence have been detained because they are too dangerous to release. The BBC has already removed this from the iPlayer so am I happy to direct you elsewhere: (download it here via BitTorrent).
In Coalinga more than 70% of the inmates refuse to participate in the therapy that is their only remote possibility of release. Otherwise they are destined to spend the rest of their days locked up, even if in relative luxury. One inmate who was participating in therapy had gone as far as having himself surgically castrated in the hope of release.
Now this may be a way forward. Why not make surgical castration an option for depraved, out of control monsters such as the one convicted yesterday? It could be optional, as part of rehabilitation, or in the most serious cases enforced as part of the sentence. For someone guilty of such appalling crimes I do not see this as any infringement of his rights.
BBC Gives Tiscali The Kicking It Deserves
It was wonderful to see Tiscali exposed on Watchdog this evening. For years it has demonstrated itself to be a company to avoid. It is so clearly focused on profit rather than on customers that its death wish is about to be fulfilled.
When will the dumb suits that run businesses like this wake up to real life? This is a tale of greed and disrespect for consumers – just like the banks. The company has consumed itself with avarice and aspiration rather than delivering a service
Anne Frank – The BBC Gets It Wrong Again
Isn’t it inappropriate, insensitive and downright crass of the BBC to be broadcasting ” The Diary Of Anne Frank” at a time when Palestinian children are being murdered by the Israelis?
Israel is behaving as a Nazi power. Gaza is the equivalent of the Warsaw Ghetto. For pity’s sake, 10 paramedics have been killed since the brutal, inhuman land invasion.
In other respects the BBC is so oversensitive as to be absurd. When John Sergeant resigned from “Strictly Come Dancing” it immediately offered refunds to anyone who had voted for him yet now, while women and children are massacred in Gaza by the evil Israelis, it wants us to watch this?
Police Misconduct
The outrageous arrest and detention of Tory MP, Damian Green is a dangerous and worrying mistake of the most serious proportions.
Those responsible for this must be held to account for an error of judgement that is, literally, unforgiveable.
In this the Metroplitan Police should look to the BBC for an example rather than the banks or the government. The people responsible must lose their jobs without compensation.
